Celebrate the Mother Road’s hundredth birthday with Route 66 stories by day and STARSHIP by night! Motorheads in Springfield hosts a full day dedicated to the highway’s history, its communities, and the people shaping its next century.
The daytime Mother Road Conference brings together preservationists, tourism professionals, business owners, and Route 66 enthusiasts for presentations, networking, breakfast, and lunch. A special highlight is a preview of the 100th episode of Travels with Darley, followed by a Q&A with host Darley Newman.
At 6 p.m., the celebration shifts to the... Motordome for food, festivities, and a live concert by STARSHIP Featuring Mickey Thomas.
Conference tickets are $75 for Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway members and $125 for nonmembers. Evening celebration tickets are $150 per person. The conference and evening celebration require separate tickets.
