Bumper to Bumper - Route 66 Mural

Painted during the 2024 Ottawa County Arts Festival, the Bumper to Bumper Route 66 Mural brings a burst of Mother Road nostalgia to downtown Miami. Artist Jason Tetlak combined a vintage automobile, an oversized Route 66 shield and the classic phrase “Get Your Kicks” into a bold roadside composition celebrating the golden age of American automobile travel.

The mural stretches across the facade of Bumper To Bumper - Miami, a longtime auto parts store at 215 S Main Street. Its automotive setting makes the artwork especially fitting, connecting Miami's present-day Main Street with the cars, service stations and road-trip culture that helped define Route 66.

The mural is actually part of a larger collection of artwork across the building, including a retro service-station attendant and Miami imagery, turning the entire facade into a colorful tribute to the city's automotive and Route 66 heritage.
