Crosstar Flag & Tag Museum is an unconventional Route 66 attraction created by Al Childs in 2022. Located in his backyard along the historic highway in Afton, the museum combines colorful folk art, unusual vehicles, vintage gas pumps, sculptures, and other roadside curiosities. Childs has also accumulated more than 6,000 license plates, helping turn the property into an especially distinctive photo stop.

Visitors can explore playful displays that include a robot, a miniature space shuttle, funky vehicles, and imaginative homemade artwork. The attraction is designed around conversation, smiles, and Route 66 hospitality rather than shopping, with no merchandise offered for sale. Admission is free, making Crosstar Flag & Tag Museum a memorable, lighthearted stop for travelers passing through Afton.
