Gary's Gay Parita Sinclair Station preserves the history and hospitality of Missouri's legendary Route 66. Originally established by Fred and Gay Mason during the highway's early years, the station was named in honor of Gay Mason. The property developed into a small roadside complex known as Camp Gay Parita, featuring a filling station, garage, and three guest cabins. Following fires that destroyed the original station by 1955, the property remained a reminder of the highway's earlier days. Gary and Lena Turner later revived the landmark, recreating its vintage Sinclair station in 2005. Gary transformed the property into a roadside attraction filled with historic signage, antique gas pumps, classic automobiles, and Route 66 memorabilia. His welcoming personality and enthusiasm for storytelling attracted travelers from around the world.

Following Gary Turner's passing in 2015, his daughter Barbara Barnes continued the family's preservation efforts. She acquired the property from her family in 2016 and now operates it alongside George Bowick. Together, they maintain its nostalgic displays and welcoming atmosphere while sharing stories about the Mother Road. Visitors can explore the recreated filling station, admire vintage vehicles, browse souvenirs, and photograph its colorful roadside attractions. The station also gained renewed attention after appearing in Missouri musician Chappell Roan's music video for "Hot To Go." Although gasoline is no longer sold here, Gary's Gay Parita continues to welcome travelers and celebrate the history of America's most famous highway.
