About
Gasoline Alley Classics brings two eras of American motoring together inside a restored 1917 Ford Model T assembly plant and dealership in downtown Sapulpa. The building's automotive past is still very much part of the experience: exposed brick, historic Ford markings and carefully arranged displays surround vintage vehicles, including a 1926 Model T highlighted in the supplied material. Owner Michael Jones began creating automotive-themed pieces in the 1990s and eventually developed Gasoline Alley Classics into a manufacturer of automobilia and garage décor. After his family acquired the old Sapulpa Motor Company property in 2015, years of restoration prepared the building for a new chapter. In September 2022, the company's first retail store opened here, just a block from historic Route 66.
Inside, the attraction feels almost as much like a small automotive museum as a shop. Visitors can browse reproduction oil cans, vintage-style signs, parking meters, drive-in speakers, custom lighting, apparel, Route 66 souvenirs and the company's Lady Luck and Fat Boys Speed Shop merchandise while taking in an unusually dense collection of motoring memorabilia. Current visitor reports repeatedly mention the owners' storytelling, the history attached to individual displays and even the elaborately themed restrooms as memorable parts of the stop. That mixture of an authentic early-auto building, preserved vehicles, Route 66 history and a functioning specialty shop makes Gasoline Alley Classics particularly well suited to Explore 66: travelers are not simply shopping for nostalgia here—they are experiencing it inside a place that actually participated in America's first great automotive age.
