We’re a newer stop on the Mother Road, serving gourmet all-beef hot dogs, sandwiches, burgers, espresso drinks and gelato in the heart of Seligman. Highway Hot Dog opened in 2025 with a menu that ranges from straightforward classics to creations like the chili-and-cheese Route 66 Dog, bacon-wrapped Sonoran Hot Dog and pulled-pork-topped Road Rage. Travelers can also stop in for coffee, an affogato or gelato, making the restaurant as useful for a quick road-trip break as it is for lunch.

Our restaurant may be new, but the building around us has been part of Seligman for more than a century. Built in 1904 as Pioneer Hall and Theatre, it later served as a theater and dance hall, became home to a malt shop beginning around 1930 and, much later, housed a Route 66 sundries and gift shop. The restored building now begins another chapter as Highway Hot Dog, combining a contemporary menu with a space that has been serving different roles in this Route 66 community for generations.
