The Miami Gateway Sign marks the entrance to historic downtown Miami, Oklahoma. Today’s gateway is a replica of an earlier sign constructed in the early 1900s that spanned Central and C Street near the railroad station, welcoming visitors arriving in downtown Miami.

The original gateway was removed during the 1930s, but its modern recreation brings that piece of Miami history back to the streetscape. Located along Route 66, the sign now serves as both a downtown landmark and a reminder of the city’s early role as a regional destination.
