We’ve been welcoming travelers to Riverton since 1925, a year before Route 66 was officially established. What began as a neighborhood general store has grown into one of the Mother Road’s... longest-running roadside stops, while still keeping the character that made places like ours so special in the first place.
Step inside and you’ll still find the feel of an old-fashioned country store, with historic wooden shelving, a pressed-tin ceiling, a deli counter, groceries, cold drinks, Route 66 souvenirs, and plenty of stories gathered over the years. Generations of locals and travelers have stopped here for a sandwich, a few supplies, directions, or simply a chance to slow down and enjoy a piece of Route 66 history.
Our store is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has even welcomed visitors from Pixar during research for Cars. More than a century after we first opened our doors, we’re still proud to be part of the journey.
