About Us

We’ve been welcoming motorists along this stretch of Barstow since 1922, when the property began life as the Barstow Auto Court. More than a century later, the motel remains in operation directly on Historic Route 66, carrying forward the kind of independently owned roadside lodging that once lined the Mother Road. Our classic neon sign, Route 66 mural, vintage automobiles and collection of roadside memorabilia give travelers plenty of reminders of the highway’s earlier years before they even reach their room.

Today, we pair that retro character with straightforward accommodations for modern road trips. Renovated rooms include conveniences such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, televisions, microwaves and refrigerators, with kitchen-equipped rooms also available. Travelers can park, spend some time exploring the vintage displays around the property and stay the night in one of Barstow’s surviving early roadside motels—a place where Route 66 history is still part of the everyday experience rather than simply something preserved behind glass.
