We opened with John Wayne
The very first movie shown at the Tee Pee Drive-In was John Wayne's Tycoon on May 5, 1950. Thousands of moviegoers gathered to celebrate Sapulpa's newest entertainment destination under the stars.
You Named It!
The name "Tee Pee Drive-In" wasn't chosen by the owners. It came from a public naming contest, where local resident Marie Wooden submitted the winning entry and earned a season pass for two.
A 24-Year Comeback
After closing in 1999, the Tee Pee sat abandoned for more than 24 years before reopening in 2023. Today, it once again welcomes families to enjoy movies the way they were meant to be seen... under the stars!
